All-State!

Let the awards just keep coming!!

All-State for the Deseret News has come out and we had 4 girls on it! So exciting! All of these girls have worked so hard this season and it shows by some of our girls getting recognized. It is hard to get recognized when your team does not do well, so this shows just how well our team did this year. Be so proud ladies!

1st Team All-State:
McKenna Sill - Keeper
Jennae Devereaux - Defender

2nd Team All-State:
Brinley Adams - Forward

Honoralble Mention:
Kacey Bolingbroke - Midfielder

ALL REGION MVP's / Academic All State

We got some great news! The Region 6 MVP's have came through. It is hard enough to get 1 on there, we had 3 this year! So exciting! Congrats to Brinley and Jennae! Here is the list:

2013 Region VI Most Valuable Goalkeeper: Charity Cole BHS

 

2013 Region VI Most Valuable Defenders (3-way tie): Jayne Christensen EHS, Abby McKonkie BHS, Jennae Devereaux Clearfield HS

 

2013 Region VI Most Valuable Midfielders (2-way tie): Christina Plank BHS, Kate Orchard HHS

 

2013 Region VI Most Valuable Forward: Brinley Adams Clearfield HS

 

2013 Region VI Coach of the Year: Lauren Clifford Clearfield HS

 

 

 

We also had 2 girls make Academic All-State. There was only 15 totally girls from the entire state, and two of them were our girls! So proud of these girls and how hard they work in the classroom as well as on the field. Congrats to Ellie Penner and Kenslee Doman!

 

All-State results will be coming out later this week...will post our girls who have made that when it comes in.

Amazing Double Overtime Win Against Bountiful...

Clearfield High Girls Soccer is Currently1st in Region!

What an incredible game our Lady Falcon's played today!!  They played with passion and determination and came out with an incredible win over Bountiful, with a goal in the last few seconds of double overtime by Amber Marshall #6.  These girls deserve this win...they push themselves and each other every day in practice and have worked so hard for this and now it's paying off.  They are setting their sights high, they are focused and not letting anything get in their way. Way to play girls!!

Top 5 in State!

The girls have reached one of their team goals already. This week they got ranked Top 5 in the State! Here is the link:

CHS vs Judge...

At home wins tonight for Varsity (2-0) and JV (2-0) against Judge. Let's go Falcons!!

 

 

Unlucky...CHS vs WX

Tonight was an unlucky game for our Lady Falcons.  Varsity and JV played hard, and in the end, it's always fun to watch these talented girls play the game they all love.  It's still hard to lose...but we know they will come back strong against Judge on Thursday.

Awesome Pre-Season Wins...

The Lady Falcons came out strong with two Varsity preseason wins against Roy and Box Elder.  Whoo!! The girls were excited to play Roy and had a great game, beating them 2-0 in Varsity.  JV tied at 2. Thursday afternoon they rode the bus up to Box Elder High School.  Varsity game got off to a pretty scary start in the first 4 minutes with us down 2-0...but the girls pushed through and made an incredible comeback to win 7-4.  It was an intense, fast-paced and high scoring game.  So fun to watch!  JV tied at 3.  Congrats to the girls and coaches!  We are ready for the season to begin...

CHS Girls Soccer Team 5K...

Saturday morning the Clearfield High girls soccer team ran in the Christmas Box House 5K...it was a huge success for our girls and those they were running for.  Great Job Girls!!

1st Cuts

Hey Ladies!

Thanks for all of you that came out to try-outs. We had a lot of talent! Unfortunately we have to make some cuts, which is the worst part. Below is the list that we would like to return tomorrow at 9:00am.

Try-Out Information

Hey Ladies!

So try-outs are right around the corner! Here is some information:

Try-outs: Monday, August 5th

1st session: 9:00-11:00am

2nd session: 2:00-4:00pm

• Be sure you show up at least 20 minutes early so you can sign-up and get your number in time.
• Bring cleats, shin guards, WATER!, and try-out form.

We will have 1st cuts after the 2nd session on the 1st day. We will post them to the website by 8:00pm Monday night. Final team will be announced Tuesday evening, with Wednesday being the 1st practice. 

You have to have the TRY-OUT FORM filled out and turned in, before you can try-out. The form is under "Important Information" in the left column. All the other forms need to be done before the 1st game. So if you want to wait on the others to be sure you make the team first, that is ok. But just keep in mind, the 9th grade forms take time to get completed.

Try-Out Forms!

Hey Ladies!

All the forms that need to be signed and ready to go in order for you to try-out are listed over in the left column.

Forms:

• Sportsmanship form
• Transportation form
• Try-out check list form
• Physical completed (either Form A or Form B)
• Form A: for those that have NEVER had a physical for Clearfield HS
• Form B: for those that have already had a physical for Clearfield HS
• 9th grade Participation Form (only for 9th graders)

Please be sure to get all these forms completed and ready to go for try-outs. Especially any 9th graders, be sure to get on top of this ASAP, cause the 9th grade form requires administration signatures.

TEAM CAMP RECAP

Team Camp was this past week and it was definitely a success! The girls had an amazing week, with GREAT results!

Monday:
Clearfield vs. Cyrpus 12-0 WIN
Clearfield vs. Skyline 1-1 TIE

Tuesday:
Clearfield vs. Skyline 1-2 LOSS (only loss of the week)
Clearfield vs. Maple Mountain 2-2 TIE

Wednesday:
Clearfield vs. Brighton 2-2 TIE
Clearfield vs. Murray 3-1 WIN

Thursday:
Clearfield vs. Brighton 1-0 WIN
Clearfield vs. Highland 1-1 TIE

Friday:
Clearfield vs. East 1-0 WIN
Clearfield vs. East 2-2 TIE

We only had one loss out of 10 games! We were very impressed with the talent we had this past week! It just means that this fall is going to be a great one! We can not wait to get started, we have big expectations!

Congrats again on a fantastic week! Enjoy the 4th of July week off! We will see everyone again the week of the 8th!

Conditioning!

Hey ladies!

So  tomorrow is the start of the first day of conditioning! Wahoo! It will be at 9:00-10:00am on the Field Turf.

Be sure to check the website OFTEN in case of an emergency field change or anything. 

They are still doing some construction, so to enter the field, you need to go around the main gym, in between the tennis courts, and there is a gate there that will be open. Hope to see you all there tomorrow morning!
