A New Soccer Season Starts Soon!
Can you believe it is already time to prepare for soccer in the fall?!
Hopefully you have been playing a LOT of soccer and keeping in shape during the past few months.
Also with a new season will come some coaching changes. We wish Coach Clifford and Coach Christensen the best, esp. with their babies on the way! They each had great impacts on the CHS soccer program and in the lives of each team member. Coaches, you will be missed!
I (Coach Blair) am excited to continue working with the team as head coach! I love soccer, but love our team even more! I look forward to working with the returning players and their families as well as the new players and families that will join the CHS soccer family.
I look forward to seeing each of you at our player/parent meeting in May and don't forget conditioning will start in June.

Pre-Season Done!
The girls are off to an amazing start! We finished up our Pre-Season games last week undefeated! Our first game was against Roy, where we won 4-0. Beautiful goals came from Afton Barlow (hat trick) and Brinley Adams. Mckenna Sill recorded the shutout. Our last game was against our neighbor school, Syracuse. It was a great exciting game where we came out on top with a 3-2 win. Goals were by Afton Barlow, Brinley Adams and Carissa Carbine with the game winner. Girls are working their tails off for Region play to start this week. We wish them the best of luck, we know they will do amazing! First Region game is this Tuesday, the 19th home against Woods Cross. Come out and support these amazing ladies!

Try-Out Information!
Hey Parents and Ladies!
We have a new way of registering for try-outs this year. It is a new state requirement. Everything will be done online. The website is called "Register My Athlete", and on here you will fill out all paperwork, etc to be eligible to try-out.
Here is the website: http:// registermyathlete.com/
So please be sure you do this ASAP. You do not have to get your physical done until after teams are made, but if you would like, The Physical Form is also on the left as well. You turn your physical form into our Athletic Director at the CHS office during hours, you will have them put it in Coach Hulse box.
Now here is the try-out information:
- When: August 4th and 5th
- Time: 10:30am-12:30pm & 3:00-5:00pm
- Show up 20 minutes early so you can get assigned a number.
- Where: CHS field turf
- Bring: cleats, shinguards. WATER, ball (optional)
Each girl will be assigned a number when they show up. This is how we will post who has made the cuts and team. We will have 1st cuts after the first day, which will be posted on our team website by 8:00pm on the first day, August 4th. Then we will announce our final team the second day, the 5th, the same way.
I can't believe that it is about 2 weeks away! We are getting very excited, I hope you all are too!
This part is for the girls doing CAMP training. I have spoken with a few girls and Andrew, the one in charge, and it sounds like we are struggling a bit with getting girls to give their full effort there. I was disappointed to hear this. I apologize not being there, but I am out of town most of July, with that said tho, you girls should not need coaches there to push you, you should be able to push yourselves and want to get better for yourself. This is also goes for those not doing CAMP as well. I feel a lot of you are in for a rude awakening when season comes. We expect A LOT out of you girls because we know you have what it takes. We just need you guys to see that in yourselves as well. This is our year! Rio Tinto has our name all over it! So these last couple weeks, push yourself harder than you have before, get mentally ready for this season, because like said, we will push you! And those that show they want it and have worked their butts off are who will play. Like I have said before, these positions are not going to be handed to you.
We have so much talent coming this year, it is going to be a great season!! Can't wait to get started.
Please let me know if you have any questions on how to register for tryouts, etc.
Thanks!

CAMP Conditioning in July!
Hey Ladies and Parents!
This is just another annoying reminder that if you are planning on doing CAMP: Building Better Athletes in July, you need to sign up now! Here is the link:
Remember, we are NOT offering anything in July, so if you are not doing this camp conditioning, then you better still be staying shape by doing things on your own. After seeing most girls run the fitness test multiple times, we have decided that each girl that makes the team after try-outs come August, must pass the fitness test to play in a game. The test is VERY VERY do-able. One of our goalies has already passed it. The test is not meant to kill you like most tests are ha, it is meant to be sure you are in shape. So be sure you are working hard and pushing yourself come July. Some of you are looking great, others really need to kick into gear. We have about 6 weeks til season....so it is approaching fast! If you want to be apart of this journey, you've got to earn it. It is a privilege to play on this team, not a right. Each girl needs to earn it, it will not be handed to you. I know each of you have what it takes, you just need to push yourself. That is what it is going to take to make it to Rio Tinto :)
WE CAN DO THIS!!
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
~Coach Clifford
